Engraving

Engravings can add a great personal touch to any wallet. If its for your own self, then perhaps an inspirational quote or a verse might be the perfect reminder inside. If it is being ordered as a gift for a loved one, a reminder of your love or an inside joke could be the very thing that brings a smile on their face every time they open their wallet. Everyone loves to be loved, and to be reminded of it in the most unusual times can have a profoundly uplifting effect on the heart and mind.

All the engravings on our leather wallets are done through a high-end precision laser machine that burns a thin layer of the leather to leave a permanent impression of the engraving. Although the main pros of laser engraving are its flexibility in formatting the text and its size, it still isn’t nearly as durable as embossing. And as a result, we only offer this option on the inside flap of the wallets.

Sometimes we get asked by our customers to have a picture or logo engraved on the outside of the wallet, and sure, we can definitely do that, but once again if it isn’t something that’s going to last, then we cannot in good conscience offer that. Since the exterior of the wallet is prone to the most wear, this means that the thin layers that are burnt off by the laser could very easily damage the leather further. However, on the inside of the wallet all engravings are safe and so we offer that option with confidence.
